Voters in South Saint Paul approved a plan to spend millions of dollars on improving local schools.
     
The $26-million bond will fund upgrades and repairs to classrooms, expand two elementary schools and pay for new technology and security measures.

The Department of Natural Resources lifted burning restrictions in 32 Minnesota counties due to recent wet weather. Restrictions were lifted at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

Annual South St. Paul Bike Sale Set for June 1

An annual bike sale that will benefit South St. Paul Boy Scouts is set for June 1.

The bikes were recovered by South St. Paul police over the past year and have been declared surplus by the city council.

Beginning at 10 a.m., the bikes will be available for viewing and purchasing. Proceeds will go toward Boy Scout Troop #99 activities.

Farmers Market Returns to South St. Paul this July

The St. Paul Farmers Market is coming back to South St. Paul this July.

Wakota Federal Credit Union will host the market in its parking lot at 12th and Southview.

It will run 3-6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The market kicks off its season July 3.
